What we handle

Employer of Record (EOR) is the fastest legal way to hire in a new market. Instead of incorporating a local entity (which takes 4-8 weeks and locks you into ongoing compliance), you contract Viettonkin as the legal employer of record, and we hire your staff under our entity in the target country.

You keep day-to-day management of the employee. We handle the employment contract, payroll, tax withholdings, social-security contributions, statutory benefits, work permits, and employment-law compliance.

🇻🇳 Vietnam

  • Tax: PIT 5-35% progressive
  • Social contributions: Mandatory social insurance 17.5% employer + 8% employee
  • Visa / work permit: Work Permit required for foreigners

🇸🇬 Singapore

  • Tax: PIT 0-22% progressive
  • Social contributions: CPF 17%/20% (citizens/PRs only – foreigners exempt)

  • Tax: Salaries tax 2-17%
  • Social contributions: MPF 5% employer + 5% employee (capped HKD 1,500/mo each)
  • Visa / work permit: General Employment Policy visa sponsorship

When EOR is the right call

  • Market testing. You want to hire 1-3 people in Vietnam to validate demand before committing to a full incorporation.
  • Time pressure. You won a deal but need someone on the ground in 2 weeks, and entity setup takes 6.
  • Specialist hire. A senior engineer in Singapore is willing to sign – but only if you can pay them legally next month.
  • Cost vs scale. With <5 employees per market, EOR is usually cheaper than running your own entity. Crossover is around 5-10 staff depending on country.

When EOR isn’t the right call

  • You need to invoice local customers (the EOR cannot do that for you – set up an entity).
  • You have >10 employees in one country (entity becomes cheaper).
  • You’re in a regulated industry (financial services, healthcare) where the entity must hold the operating license.
