Vietnam has no single dominant local directory comparable to Wongnai in Thailand, which makes Google Business Profile the platform to prioritise. B2B buyers increasingly check reviews and profile details as part of their due diligence before a first meeting, not only consumers looking for a shop. An empty or outdated listing therefore undermines a new company exactly when it is trying to establish credibility.
Verification evidence is usually prepared alongside the business registration certificate (Giấy chứng nhận đăng ký doanh nghiệp), and the name and address on the profile are checked for consistency with it and with the name the business uses in the real world. Google can suspend profiles that break its guidelines, so the profile address has to be the business’s real, current location. A registered address alone does not make a business eligible, though: the profile has to represent the real customer-facing operation.
Details should be completed in Vietnamese and English as the audience requires, covering categories, service areas, hours, attributes, services and genuine photos. Any review-response workflow that stores customer contact details must follow the consent requirements of Vietnam’s Personal Data Protection Law, and the person who approves Vietnamese updates should be agreed before handover.
